Pets bring unique joy into our lives

We are delighted that you are thinking about welcoming a new family member into your home!
It is important to know that Fur the Love of Animals (FTLOA) prioritizes the wellness and happiness of all the animals in our care when considering placement into a new household. The goal is to find matches that last, minimizing the stress on pets that comes from being surrendered—For not only are they losing their family and home, they are losing their safe spaces, their routines, their entire life as they knew it.
With that goal in mind, we do not rush the process. Every animal that comes to FTLOA is guaranteed sanctuary with us for life, but, of course, our primary aim is to find each of them a loving furever home.
Prior to adoption, please make sure that everyone in your household is in agreement about bringing in a new pet. We will not approve prospective adopters looking to gift an animal to someone else. If you have any questions about what to expect once you bring your new family member home, we are in the process of creating resources; in the mean time, please feel free to contact us.
It is the adoptee's responsibility to have everything prepared before an animal may be taken home.
This includes (but is not limited to): food; treats; toys; bedding; a carrier and/or leash, collar, and harness; sanitation tools (i.e., litter boxes, poop-scoops); a species-appropriate habitat, if applicable.
Thank you for considering Fur the Love of Animals as you search for your next pet. We are looking forward to supporting you through this process!
Please note that we do not breed, trade, or purchase animals to sell.
If there are no animals listed below then we do not currently have any up for adoption.
01
Application Required
The Adoption Application is available by clicking here. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. Adoptions are reviewed in the order in which they are received. Applications will remain active in our system for one year.
02
Adoption Fee
A fee is required to adopt an animal from FTLOA. Adoption fees help cover animal care expenses, including but not limited to: meals; medication and supplements; medical care; and enrichment. Fees vary for each species, and you can find the amounts below.
03
No Time Restrictions
We want to see all of our adoptable animals find the best possible furever home. This means we will wait for the ideal match that will allow the individual animal to thrive in health, wellness, and happiness whether that takes a week or a year. The process cannot be rushed.
04
MEdicial Care Included
Animals will receive medical examinations from a licensed veterinarian and any appropriate treatments to ensure they are healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations. Any animals requiring specialized care for an illness will receive the treatment(s) prior to adoption.
